As of June 2021, LG Energy Solution has sold KRW 180 trillion worth of EV batteries (as of June 2021), while LG Electronics, LG Display, and LG Innotek are developing motors, displays, cameras, communication modules, etc. for innovative car experiences. LG recently purchased a promising automotive lighting manufacturer, and has formed a joint corporation for the production of EV powertrains.

Next-gen displays

LG Display is the world's only manufacturer of large OLED panels, and its lineup of OLED displays is continuously expanding. In 2020, LG Electronics launched the LG Signature OLED R, the world's first rollable OLED TV. LG Chem is developing advanced materials that make foldable displays possible, thereby making a full-scale foray into the next-generation display materials market.
